Why do underage people choose vaping?
To start this question, I would like to clarify that there is never a yes or no for a societal problem like this, yet I will share my understanding from my experience about minors vaping and both the positive and negative sides of this issue.
Let us go back to the keywords of the question: underage and vaping. It is a problem that many stakeholders are concerned about, and the stakeholders include the youth, their parents, sellers, teachers, and ultimately the governments. The laws may vary in the States but usually, the age to define underage is under 18 or 21.
The question is why do they vape? As for me when I was a minor (yes I was once a minor vaper), I had tried most of the stuff (pouches, cigs, vapes all that) on the market due to my curiosity. Why vape though? From my perspective, I need something to help my anxieties in dealing with the relationship between me and my parents, teachers, and peers in high school. I could only find peace when I was either playing my sport or sitting on my balcony and vaping by myself, and I remembered that was how I found my peace. Though it helps me to find my peace, I do not encourage anyone to touch nicotine products regardless of their age since this is an unhealthy addiction.
The second part of this blog will be discussing vape. As you already know, I am already over 30 now, yet I am still vaping throughout my days in the office so I will share my take on vape. The reason why I choose vape as my daily go-to recreational product instead of pouches and cigs. The answer is quite simple, cigs make my lungs and heart ache and pouches make my teeth yellow, and vaping does not quite get me anything negative for the past ten years. I did a full physical and CT scan last couple of years and the doctor said there was no obvious damage in my lungs. While there is no conclusion about the damage that vape products cause, I do not feel anything too negative other than insomnia when puffing in bed too much.
To conclude this article, DO NOT touch nicotine products if possible, but if you do, be smart and choose your product wisely because I do not what other products may contain under their cover.
